Tibialis anterior hurts when running
WebbI had anterior tibialis pain when I started running this past June, it was at a specific 1 inch area on my right shin just lateral to the shin bone. It would hurt if I pushed on that specific spot. I had to take a week off and slowly start running again trying not to overdo it, cutting back on my run length and pace. WebbThis is an important step forward, as increasing the tightness of your laces increases pressure over the top of the foot, including the navicular bone and the extensor tendons that cross the ankle. While these areas are not injured very often, injuries to the navicular and extensor tendons can be very bothersome.
